A worker who is not using fall arrest protection

A worker who is not using fall arrest protection is in danger of serious injury and death.

Falling from heights and in hazardous environments is a common occurrence, so it’s safe to say that most people have had occasion to come in contact with the idea of using some sort of fall protection device.

Unfortunately, there’s a lot of confusion about the specific details involved, as well as a fair amount of controversy. The purpose of this article is to look more closely at fall protection and clarify the main points.

The answer is discussed here for, a worker who is not using fall arrest protection loses his footing at the top of a six-story.

The idea behind fall protection is simple: it’s better to catch a worker before they hit the ground than to try and stop them after they land.

How that end-goal is accomplished can vary greatly depending on what sort of equipment is used and what environment the worker will be in.

However, all forms of fall protection rely on something called a “fall arrest system”, so we’ll start by looking at these systems and how they work.

1. Theory

The basic idea behind fall arrest systems is pretty simple. The system consists of three components: a harness, a lifeline, and a catch.

The harness is basically a web of straps that will hold the worker in place while they are suspended in mid-air. It’s made up of long belts with buckles or other fittings at various points along its length that are capable of engaging with the lifeline.

Syndicates are then placed around the workers body, where they can attach to pieces of their clothing or equipment before being secured by other buckles at each end.

The lifeline is a cord or wire that runs down to the ground. This allows the worker to stay connected to the ground at all times while they are suspended in mid-air. Needless to say, falling significantly increases your chances of serious injury when you’re falling from a height, so having something safe to break your fall when you inevitably slip up is very important.

A lifeline will also act as a safety mechanism in case anything should go wrong with the harness or other equipment attached to it.

This way, if the harness comes loose or gets torn somehow, there’s still something between you and disaster when you hit the ground.

2. Components

The components of a fall arrest system are basically the same for all systems. The only difference between one system and another is that each system can be adjusted to match your needs.

For example, if you’re not working on anything particularly hazardous, the harness won’t need to support very much weight. That means it can be made out of cheaper materials while still getting the job done.

This is the main reason why there’s no industry-standard design for fall arrest systems; if everyone worked in exactly or similar conditions, then you could get away with using one design for everything.

But since every workplace is different, it’s okay if different harnesses are made to suit different purposes.

There are also different ways of attaching the other components to the harness. For example, some systems use a quick-release system, while others use straps.

Some other systems use both. There are also other variations on each of these basic components that can be used to suit different needs; for example, the fittings used to connect one end of the lifeline to your equipment can be swapped out for something else.

3. Function

The idea behind using a fall arrest system is to provide a safe place for the worker to fall if they slip up while suspended in mid-air.

This way, the only thing the worker will hit when they slip up is whatever they’re connected to – and that can be easily prevented by having something solid on the ground to stop them. But what happens if there isn’t anything solid on the ground? How do you make sure that you won’t hit anything when you fall? The answer lies in what’s known as “fall distance”.

Fall Distance is basically how far down your body will travel while it’s falling.  This measurement is very important, because the longer your fall distance is, the harder you will hit the ground when you eventually slip up.

The basic idea behind fall protection is to make your fall distance as short as possible.

Your fall distance (or “fall height”) depends on two things: your distance above the ground and how fast your body will be traveling through the air.

The girl in the raisin bran fishing commercial

The girl in the raisin bran fishing commercial did not die of raisin bran overdose.

Director of Research and Development for Fishers Foods Janice E. Duncan explained that the girl was faking her death for a Fishers Foods commercial to encourage people to eat more raisins and cereal throughout the day.

This post will review the specific controversy over this widely-popular advertisement and explore its implications for marketers using actors or other forms of paid actors in commercials, while also exploring some other ads based on acting that have been controversial as well.

The answer is discussed here for, who is the girl in the raisin bran fishing commercial?

On January 4, 1989 an advertisement for Raisin Bran Crunch cereal premiered on television.

The ad, which aired during Saturday morning children’s programming as the breakfast cereal was the fastest selling new brand to come along in five years.

According to John G. Beugler and Patricia A. McDaniel of the Journal of Advertising, this was due to the ad’s “originality and creativity.”

Due to this success other companies began producing similar commercials with actors pretending or faking either death or injury and lying in a bed attached to wires and tubes for dramatic effect.

Here are some points discussed about The girl in the raisin bran fishing commercial-

1. The commercial was controversial.

This commercial, which was received positively by over 50% of the population and disliked by 37%, was one of many commercials based around the idea of a person pretending to be in a dangerous situation and still reacting and acting like a normal human being (Allison & Roberts, 1995).

However, to some people this was not possible since it would take enormous amounts of physical strength to pull off the scenario.

2. Commercials were not banned from television.

After The girl in the raisin bran commercial aired there were demands from viewers that these types of commercials be banned from television.

However, according to Jim Booth of Adweek advertising was still extremely active on television even with the increasing number of commercials that people were mad at.

3. Commercials can lead to more dangerous situations.

Because of the high demand for television time advertisers began creating more dangerous scenarios in their commercials to create more relevant advertising content viewers would want.

For example, in one commercial actress Gillian Anderson portrays a woman running through the woods while talking about the benefits of Mountain Dew soda due to it being natural rather than artificial sweeteners designed for people who are diabetic or heart patients.

Another example is in one Bud Light commercial the Budweiser frogs are shown in a wrestling ring fighting to advertise their beer with one of them becoming injured.

As you can see, advertisements are designed to make the audience believe that using their product or service will make you happy or make your life better in some way.

4. Commercials are based around viewers’ opinions.

Marketers pay attention to what viewers are saying about commercials because their feedback is important when it comes to the success of their company.

If a company is creating commercials that people are not interested in then they will lose revenue and may be forced out of business. Therefore, the public has power over what companies will do to create better content for their audience.

5. Commercials can have positive effects on society .

Commercials have the potential to shape the behavior of consumers for the better by helping them understand emotions, attitudes, and values of individuals in different environments (Dervin & Voight, 1993).

Within television commercials, viewers are taught how to act socially. This allows for them to understand their own emotions and the reactions that others will have in different situations.

For example, when people see actors faking injuries they learn that faking an injury is acceptable because the person did not actually get injured. This helps viewers learn how to act socially by understanding other people’s reactions which is important when you are in a public place.

6. Commercials can affect you in real life .

People can be affected positively or negatively by commercials that they watch on television. In fact, the emotional impact of watching a commercial for a product may eventually affect daily behavior.

As mentioned in the previous slide, when people see actors faking injuries in commercials they learn that faking an injury is acceptable because the person did not actually get injured.

This helps viewers learn how to act socially by understanding other people’s reactions which is important when you are in a public place.

7. Commercials can teach you about social behavior .

Commercials have the potential to shape the behavior of consumers for the better by helping them understand emotions, attitudes, and values of individuals in different environments (Dervin & Voight, 1993).

Beginner’s Guide- How to play buried beneath the ground. Who knows where it’s found?

The first step to getting started is to find a burial beneath the ground. What you’re looking for is an abandoned mine.

Now you’ll need a pick and shovel before we can begin our journey of discovery!

There’s often some neat science or history tucked away in these old mines, but more importantly, they also offer plenty of treasure.

Just make sure it’s not too hard to dig through! Remember: Don’t be afraid of what you don’t know; start where there’s some light, you might discover something special that’s waiting just beyond the darkness.

The answer is here for, osrs buried beneath the ground who knows where it’s found?

Once you choose a mine, remember: You must carefully plan your route as there may be traps and pitfalls. Remember: Your goal is to find as much as you can as quick as you can!

What do we hope to find?

Anything we can that we could possibly use. Sometimes this involves gold or other precious jewels, but that’s merely an added perk.

This is just a treasure hunt for hidden items and the occasional treasure chest! We might not be able to open it, but we will at least know exactly where it is at all times.

Here are some points discussed about How to play buried beneath the ground-

1. Pick and shovel:

You need at least one pick and shovel. The pick is used to dig up treasure, while the shovel will be needed for removing soil and rocks.

2. A good flashlight:

To navigate through the dark tunnels, you’ll want a flashlight. This helps in looking things up in your inventory, as well as seeing what you’re digging at when using the pick to dig into the ground.

3. A map:

While we can’t help but explore these mines and find them before writing how to play buried beneath the ground, we do recommend that you try and keep a map of these mines in your inventory so you can easily find them whenever you choose to revisit one.

4. A hammer:

It may sound odd, but a hammer is another useful item to have when digging around in old mines. Oftentimes there are rocks that were previously buried that will either fall off on their own or become dislodged by you digging them up.

A hammer can be used to help you push these rocks out of the way, while also filling your inventory with items that may prove helpful later on.

5. A notebook:

This is perhaps the most important item of all, so it’s worth mentioning more than once. These old mines are filled with an awful lot of dirt and debris.

How to play buried beneath the ground assumes you’ll need a place to write everything down. A notebook is a good way to do this.

Even if you don’t feel like writing down absolutely everything, it’s a great way for you to record all of the different locations of the mines, as well as what you found there.

6. A gun:

In our opinion, this option might not really be necessary, but if you’re playing how to play buried beneath the ground on an emulator or 3DS then it’s definitely something that should be present in your game when using flashcarts.

In the first step,

In the front of the ground, you have to choose a hidden mine by using a map or a guide. Make sure that it’s an abandoned mine, because an active mine will have too much security and you won’t be able to enter it easily.

The second step

To prepare your tools before going down into the mine. You should use a pick and shovel as well as a flashlight. It helps you find your way in those tunnels and avoids those nasty traps without trouble caused by those monsters!

In the third step,

You have to choose a good route for yourself before going down. The best way is to use the map as your guide. But make sure you don’t get lost!

The fourth step is,

To dig up the dirt and rocks scattered around the mine. Don’t be afraid of it! The more things you dig up, the more stuff will be found in your inventory!

The fifth step is,

To keep on exploring the mine. Sometimes you’ll find unusual things, like jewels or gold. But remember, not all of the mines are filled with treasure…so it’s up to you!

Finally, in the last step, you have to search through all of your stuff before going out of the mine, don’t forget your flashlight and notebook!

Congratulations! You’ve successfully reached this final stage! Good luck!

The game ends when you get hit by any monster while traversing through a dungeon or when there are no territory left for you to explore or destroy any enemies found in your way.

What are the best show times to watch a movie in bozeman cinemas?

Bozeman is a bustling, lively town. But there’s one thing it doesn’t have: enough movie theaters.

The Gallatin Valley Mall Cinema, Cinemark Tinseltown USA, and the Bozeman Film Festival are the three major venues for watching films with friends or on your own.

There are also two smaller theater-type spaces in town: The Rocker Theatre and Zootown Arts Village Theatre.

Unfortunately, none of these theaters play a complete schedule of films throughout the year; they only show a few movies at a time, so you’ll have to check their websites or call before going out if you want to know what’s playing that day.

The Gallatin Valley Mall Cinema

The GVMC is the largest of Bozeman’s three theaters, with 16 screens and more than 1,300 seats. The theater was built in 2001 and is operated by Northwest Entertainment, which also runs the Living Room Cinema in Butte.

The mall has a fun atmosphere and hosts special events with the help of the Bozeman Downtown Association.

They also sell tickets to concerts and other events at local venues so you can save time by grabbing tickets at the same time you buy your movie ticket.

Here are some points discussed about the best show times to watch movie showtimes bozeman mt

1. Avoid rush hour if possible.

The theater is always busy at night, but you can avoid getting stuck in long lines if you come on a non-peak time.

The best show times for this would be earlier in the evening, or on weekends when school is out of session. Weekday evenings are also good, although the theater is usually pretty packed on weekends too.

2. See movies before they’re officially released.

The GVMC sells tickets to advance screenings of films that are still months away from being shown anywhere else in Bozeman.

They often do this for special events like the pre opening of Harry Potter or Twilight films, which are guaranteed to sell out early.

3. Only buy tickets for movies you really want to see.

If there’s a film that hasn’t been released yet, it may be worth waiting for one of the advance screenings to see the film.

I’ve heard rumors that certain films are available at two or three different theaters around town, so be sure to check the individual websites before buying tickets to see if there’s a screening close enough to where you live.

Bozeman Film Festival

The Bozeman Film Festival is an annual festival of local and international films held at the GVMC in June or July each year.

The event includes shorts, documentaries, and features running about 30 minutes each.

4. Don’t skip the opening and closing ceremonies.

There’s a short ceremony before each screening, and it’s always fun to see the filmmakers and cast members talk about their films and the festival itself.

Having a lot of people in one place really brings life to the whole thing, which is why it works so well with the GVMC.

5. Check out other theaters.

The Bozeman Film Festival is only one part of what’s going on in town during its time there; all three of these venues also show non-festival films throughout the year as well.

So you can check out other theaters if you need to see a film that’s not represented at the festival.

6. Keep in mind that other theaters may play other types of films.

The GVMC only shows first-run films, while the other two venues show other types of films as well, especially during the summer when they host free movies in their outdoor spaces for anyone to attend.

The Zootown Arts Village Theatre also shows foreign films, which are generally more popular than domestic movies. So be sure to check their individual website or call before heading out to see if they have something unusual on display.

7. Watch at home with your movie theater experience.

The GVMC has a “home theater experience” that lets you watch movies at home on your own TV, just like you would at the theater.

Initially, the cost was $3 per movie, but Northwest Entertainment has since gone up to $4.95 with the added benefit of receiving a free digital download of the film after you’ve seen it.

So if you really want to avoid lines and crowds, if you want to enjoy good customer service with super seats, and if you want to save money by watching your favorite films at home on the big screen, then tickets for showing at The Bozeman Film Festival are clearly worth it! These special screenings are definitely worth checking out.

The evolution of bozeman cinema

Bohemian-themed keg beer and eclectic films: the epitome of everything that Bozeman is. The one drawback, a lack of traditional cinema that offers filmgoers an interactive experience was recently remedied with the opening of The New Bozeman Cinema, which promises to offer such a creative and immersive movie-going experience. But what does this mean for the old theater?

This cinema bozeman seems to be in some debate as to whether or not it will survive or be phased out due to competition from the new outdoor theater.

Since the theater first opened its doors, the building has been owned by different groups, each with its own idea of how to run it.

One of these groups is Downtown Bozeman Inc., which today has ownership of both buildings since acquiring the rights to both buildings from previous owners in 2014. “It’s just an old movie theater that we’re trying to keep going,” said Downtown Bozeman President Kathy Bowers.

The Great Recession and its aftermath had numerous effects on downtown Bozeman, including the closure of several small businesses and a decrease in foot traffic in Old Town, according to Bowers. “We think we can do better out there,” she said.

Here are some points discussed about evaluation of Bozeman cinema-

1.Conflict between old and new

The New Bozeman Cinema is obviously new, “everything about it is new.” Old Bozeman’s screen has not been upgraded for many years.

A new screen was supposed to be installed after the 2013 flood, but that never happened according to Bowers.

“There wasn’t the capital out there that there is now,” she said of the money necessary for the upgrade, which was estimated at $100,000.

However, one of the patrons interviewed argues against this idea saying “the problem isn’t necessarily with the screen but with the projector. The equipment they’ve used for years is getting hard to find or extremely expensive” (name withheld).

2. Location

The New Bozeman Cinema is located on the east side of the street in a former car wash that had been converted into parking space.

In comparison to Old Bozeman Cinema, Bozeman Hillside Theatre, a small theater located on the western outskirts of downtown – has a larger seating capacity and more screens than The New Bozeman Cinema.

Although it does not have an overall seating capacity for food and drinks, it is still able to attract a wide variety of audience due to its convenient city-center location next to popular restaurants such as The Kitchen Table and Martin’s Barbecue.

3. Advantages

Bozeman Hillside Theatre has no parking problem at all, which can be said to be an advantage for the theater.

It is also located on the edge of downtown; its location has made it able to attract students, families and middle-aged adults.

According to Bowers, local traffic count on weekdays tend to spike after 6 pm, which makes it very popular among locals and tourists alike.

The New Bozeman Cinema, on the other hand, does not have enough parking; “there are no lights on at night,” according to Bowers (except for some streetlights).

4. Advantages of New

The New Bozeman Cinema has a patio that overlooks the city and a small food truck park, which attracts people from all walks of life to come see movies where they could get a bite to eat while doing so.

The food truck park also helps accommodate patrons trying to get ready for a movie, or people who want to eat and drink during the movie.

This extra space is ideal for alcohol sales and it also allows for patrons to bring their own food in without the risk of spilling on others in case there’s no designated seating area. Plus, with its proximity to downtown and restaurants, it makes it extremely convenient in terms of parking, convenience and price.

The customers like The New Bozeman Cinema because it not only provides them with a movie to enjoy, but also it provides them with food and drinks; they can watch movies while eating and drinking.

This is very different from the old cinema where the customers need to buy food and drink outside of the cinema.

5. The future of Old Cinema

If Old Cinema closes, people will still go to other theaters such as Bozeman Hillside Theatre and Cinedome in Belgrade.

People can also take their cars to see a movie in Billings or Butte. Downtown Bozeman Inc. no longer has a lease for The New Bozeman Cinema and the new owners have the right to close when they want to.

In a press release, Downtown Bozeman Inc. stated that a previous theater in Downtown Bozeman was shut down in 2005 after its franchise expired in 2004 due to no one being willing or capable of making an offer on the building or its contents.

Guild Wars 2: Adrenal health

0
Spinal Cord Compression

gw2 adrenal health It’s an unfortunate fact that many players don’t get enough sleep.

You may not know it, but your adrenal health is actually linked to your sleep habits! Here are some things you need to know about GW2 adrenals and how they can affect you.

Basically, the two glands that produce adrenaline and cortisol — often referred to as the “stress” or “fight-or-flight” hormones — are called the anterior and posterior pituitary glands.

These sit right above the hypothalamus in the brain and, when stimulated by a variety of factors, release adrenaline and cortisol into your bloodstream.

Adrenaline and cortisol are the hormones that give you energy in stressful situations. They also help control your heart rate and how much glucose (or “blood sugar”) is stored in your body.

But these hormones usually come with side effects: pre-eclampsia, heightened blood pressure, poor sleep, and an increased risk of diabetes (to name a few).

Elevated levels of stress hormones can also make it harder for you to lose weight! So it’s important to keep your adrenal health under control — especially if you’re spending long hours gaming.

Points about adrenal health :

1. Excess cortisol can damage your bones .

It breaks down the collagen in bones, making them weaker and more susceptible to fractures. This is most apparent in elderly people with osteopenia or osteoporosis.

2. Excess adrenaline damages the heart .

It can cause palpitations, rapid heartbeat, racing heart, high blood pressure, and low blood pressure/shock!

When your cortisol levels are too high or when you go without sleep for 24 hours or more, your adrenals produce excessive amounts of adrenaline.

But if you are drinking caffeine drinks before bed (like energy drinks) this affects how much cortisol is making it through the kidneys.

3. Sleep deprivation can lead to weight gain .

Just one night of bad sleep will leave you craving high-fat, high-carb foods. Why?

When you’re tired, your blood sugar drops. So it makes sense to eat something that will give you a quick energy boost — like a donut, bagel, or sugary cereal — which all raise blood sugar and trigger an insulin response.

Insulin is a storage hormone that tells your body to hang on to fat and protein you’ve already eaten! And if that food contains simple carbohydrates and no protein (like those mentioned above), you’ll also get an insulin spike.

Insulin is also a “fat-storing” hormone because it tells all your body’s cells to store away and hold onto extra energy, so you’ll have enough fuel to keep going.

This can leave you feeling tired and sluggish — and give you the munchies — several hours after eating!

That’s why we tell people:

· If you eat carbs, choose healthier ones — like vegetables, fruits, whole grains, legumes, nuts. · Snack on the right things — the best snacks contain protein as well as complex carbohydrates (like nuts). ·

Eat at least three meals each day. Studies have shown that people who eat breakfast tend to eat less later, while those who skip breakfast are more likely to overeat. ·

Eat real food — cook your own meals at home, or stick with energy bars, shakes, and fruit. Choosing convenience foods doesn’t give your body the nutrition it needs for optimal health!

4. Stress hurts your adrenal glands .

We’ve already listed some of the negative effects of cortisol on your body (see #1).

But there’s more! Some research also shows that stress suppresses our immune system, which means we can get sick more easily if we’re exposed to a virus or bacteria.

This is one reason why people who are stressed out have more colds, flu, and infections. And if you’re not sleeping enough or exercising enough, your stress levels can also disrupt hormone levels in your adrenal glands.

This can lead to fatigue and other symptoms like muscle weakness and trouble sleeping.

5. Some illnesses can cause or worsen adrenal issues .

Some cancers (like breast cancer) and autoimmune diseases (such as rheumatoid arthritis) can lead to bone weakening because of excessive cortisol production.

Cancer patients who take medications that increase their cortisol levels may be at higher risk for osteoporosis after they stop taking the drugs because their cortisol levels drop too low.

6. You can lower your cortisol levels naturally .

If you want to take control of your stress and adrenal health, try some of these tips:

· Eat a balanced diet — and get enough nutrients like vitamins A, B6, and C, which help the adrenals work better. ·

Exercise — even if it’s just a short walk around the block — for at least 30 minutes a day (can be broken up into three 10-minute intervals).

And get plenty of sunlight exposure (the body makes vitamin D from sunlight exposure). · Cut back on sugar and caffeine — studies show that even half a cup of coffee can raise cortisol levels by 25%.

Women’s health is a complicated issue, and there’s a lot of conflicting information on it.

This article discusses some key facts about okemos women’s health  and how they’re affected by various important issues including access, education, history, menstruation, reproductive rights and more.

On average, Asian-American women are the most educated Asian-American women, compared to white and black women.

This is because college education is the most powerful economic driver of gender equality. It’s also apparently due to birth control influencing fertility patterns.

As a result, Asian-American women have lower rates of pregnancy and abortion than all other ethnic groups.

They also have fewer barriers to healthcare access. However, teens are less likely to use birth control than adults. And unlike other ethnicities, they’re also less likely to have annual physicals regularly.

Main Issues of Women health :

1) Contraception

Teen birth rates are lowest for Asian-American teens – 13 per 1,000 teen girls vs. 16 for black, 18 for white and 21 for Hispanics.

This is largely because Asian-American teens are more likely to use contraception than other ethnic groups. And more than half of all Asians use some form of birth control.

Contraceptive use is higher among Asian-Americans than other ethnic groups because it’s easier to reach the older generations in the community with education programs like “Take Charge” (which is funded by the Indian Health Service.)

And Chinese American women are especially likely to get an IUD after having two or more children.

2) Health Care

Asian-American women use more preventive health care. And they’re more likely to report good health and excellent health.

This is because they tend to have a strong sense of social responsibility toward their families and communities, and often pay for care out of pocket.

3) Mental Health Issues

White, African American and Native American women are disproportionately affected by depression compared to Asian-American women.

This is partly due to cultural differences – such as Chinese Americans’ emphasis on family unity and acceptance of mental illness.

And Asians tend to be more willing than whites to seek mental health services. Almost 70% of Asian-American women with mental illness who need treatment get it, compared to 63% of whites.

However, some Asian-American populations have higher suicide rates than whites – including Cambodians and Hmong women.

This is partly due to the stress of refugee adjustment, language barriers and the tendency for Asian families to hide their problems.

There’s a particular need for close monitoring of older Asian-American women because they tend to be more isolated from support networks.

4) Domestic Violence

The rate of intimate partner violence among all ethnic groups is about the same.

However, among Asian-American women, domestic violence is more likely to be physical than emotional. It’s also more likely to be public and include groups of people.

This is partly due to cultural differences – like practices like arranged marriages and strong patriarchal family traditions.

But it’s mainly because Asian-American women are often less likely than others to report domestic violence.

On the other hand, they’re also more willing than others to leave an abusive relationship. And they tend to respond better than others with behavioral education programs.

5) Cervical Cancer Screening

Asian-American women are less likely than white women to be diagnosed with cervical cancer early, due largely to educational and income disparities.

As a result, they’re also less likely to be vaccinated against the disease.

6) Perinatal Health Care

Asian-American women tend to experience lower rates of preterm birth and low birth weight babies, which can lead to higher rates of infant mortality.

This is partly because Asian-American women tend to have more nutritional needs than other ethnic groups – so they’re more likely to have food shortages before pregnancy, especially if they live in a rural area.

And it’s also because Asian-American women are less likely to seek prenatal care early on or adopt preventive health practices.

Also as a result of these factors, Asians have higher rates of cesarean sections and hysterectomies among all ethnic groups.

7) Women’s Rights

Some studies have found that women’s rights are distributed along ethnic lines. This suggests that southern Asian countries like India and Pakistan (with traditionally conservative cultures like arranged marriages and brothels) should take more seriously the need to improve women’s life opportunities.

However, other studies suggest stronger assimilation does not necessarily lead to equality – suggesting Asian-American women may be more likely than other ethnic groups to struggle to achieve equality.

8) Reproductive Rights

Asian-American women are frequently revictimized by anti-abortion legislation seeking to restrict access to reproductive health care.

This is partly because of cultural differences, such as higher social status for men than women. And it’s partly because Asian-American women tend to be less politically active than others on this issue.

But it’s also partly due to the fact that Asian-American women are overrepresented among new immigrants who can’t speak English or lack knowledge of their legal rights.

And they’re often denied access to effective translation services.
