Central Teacher Eligibility Test also known as CTET. It is a national-level examination that is held twice every year. It is an examination that is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to determine the eligibility of teachers who will be teaching from Classes 1st to 8th. - Education Qualification for the Secondary Teachers: Those teachers who want to teach from classes 6th to 8th are referred to as elementary or secondary teachers. Candidates appearing for the CTET examination must have passed class 12th with a minimum aggregate of 50 per cent. This will help them to qualify for this examination. Moreover, the candidate must have a B.Ed degree or must be appearing for the final examination of the B.ed Paper.
What is the UPTET examination?
The UPTET examination is also known as Uttar Pradesh Teachers Eligibility Test. It is very similar to that of the CTET (Central Teachers Eligibility Test) examination. The UPTET exam is conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Exam Regulatory Authority on behalf of the UPBEB (Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board). However, this is a state-level examination that is conducted once a year by the Uttar Pradesh Exam Regulatory Authority to determine the eligibility for the Primary (for classes 1st to 5th) and Elementary or Secondary (for classes 6th to 8th). The UPTET examination is conducted in two shifts namely, Paper 1 and Paper 2. The candidates who wish to teach students from classes 1st to 5th must appear for Paper 1. On the other hand, the candidates who wish to teach students from classes 6th to 8th must appear for Paper 2. Candidates who wish to teach both primary and secondary classes must appear for both examinations.
